The Yoga of Truth-Realisation: Wisdom from the Upanishads
The Upanishads stand as timeless beacons of spiritual insight, offering profound guidance on the path to self-realisation. Far from being the outcome of mere intellectual curiosity, their teachings arise from an intense inner necessity—a deep, practical need to overcome the suffering born from attachment to individual existence.
The ancient Rishis, to whom the truths of the Upanishads were revealed in states of deep spiritual realisation, recognised a fundamental flaw in the human condition: the sense of separateness and the ceaseless desire to become something other than what we truly are. It was this consciousness of division that they sought to heal.
Their remedy was not in escape, but in expansion—in becoming everything. This transformative vision, though difficult to fully express in words, is often captured in terms like Infinity and Immortality. Through the Yoga of Truth-realisation, the Upanishads advocate a universal, all-embracing path that transcends boundaries, leading the seeker beyond illusion toward the essence of ultimate Reality.
Their message is clear: liberation lies not in acquiring more, but in realising our oneness with all that is.
