The Greatest Guru Lies Within

In the journey of self-discovery, we often look outward for guidance — seeking teachers, mentors or spiritual leaders to show us the way. But as Nisargadatta Maharaj beautifully reminds us:

“The greatest Guru is your inner self. Truly, he is the supreme teacher. He alone can take you to your goal and he alone meets you at the end of the road.”

There’s something deeply empowering about this truth. Your inner self — the silent witness, the source of intuition, the voice that speaks in stillness — is the one true guide you’ve had all along. While external teachers can inspire and illuminate, it’s your own awareness that ultimately leads you to wisdom.

Trusting your inner guru means listening deeply, allowing space for reflection and learning to differentiate the noise of the world from the truth of your being. The road may twist and turn, but your inner self is always there, unwavering, waiting patiently at every step — and at the end of the road, it is your true self that welcomes you home.
